I hate to say it...

I really do not find pleasure in saying this, but we registered both our vehicles and our Indiana license plates just came in the mail.  It was a comfort to see those Idaho plates every day :(

Oops

I have been in Peoria, IL this week while Brian is here on business.  Our hotel is nice but our room is on the first floor and the closest room to the outside door.  It is very loud.  You hear when every single person uses the door.  And the ladies restroom is directly behind the wall with our bed.  Enough said.   It has been driving me crazy a little bit.  Well this morning I am laying in bed and I hear this really loud noise!  I really thought it was a lawn mower.  Like really???? Then I got thinking, it's January... who mows their lawn in January?!  I got up and looked, it was a snow blower.  We got our first snow storm of the season!  Hello Winter!!

Caught Ya!

Since Brian first started his job, every morning he comes and kisses me before he leaves for work.  I am usually half asleep when he does this, but I always know that he does.  Well yesterday morning was the first morning that he didn't.  That night I asked him why he didn't because I noticed.  He said he didn't want to wake me up because I looked out of it.  Anyways that is not the point.  I woke up feeling a little sad until I found this.

Brian probably won't like that I put this up, but it just made my day!

Ready, Set...GO!

The holiday season was a whirlwind of events!  We had such a wonderful time. May as well start from the beginning.  We left for Idaho on December 15th after Brian got home from work.  We flew from Indy, to Minneapolis, to Boise.  The new Indy airport is really really nice.  I think it has only been up and running for maybe a year??  I think it laid out very nicely.  Jim Garnder took us to the airport so we didn’t have to leave a car and pay for long-term parking.  We walked around waiting for our flight and they have a full out spa!  That’s right!  You can get mani’s and pedi’s and facials and different types of massages!  I think that is the best idea man has ever had.  Think about it… have you ever had a long layover and hate sitting around in a crowded area when your bored?? Well then go get a massage!

We get in to Boise at midnight which is two in the morning EST.  Our brother-in-law picked us up and we were so tired that we went straight to bed.  Friday, we went and got John’s truck, (Brian was going to put some toys on it) and we headed to Filer.  Everyone was meeting up that weekend and we all ordered Chinese and ate at the house and just caught up with everyone.  Saturday Brian really wanted to go snow biking.  Idaho has like NO snow.  So instead, they  went riding on dirt.  I spent the day running around with the girls getting our last minute shopping done and hitting up some of the last Saturday before Christmas sales.  I scored!  I found some Down East tanks for $4.00!! I stocked up.

That night the girls didn’t want to spend money and go out for a nice dinner and the guys weren’t back yet so we loaded up the kids and went to the ward Christmas party.  It was fun.  The guys went to sushi and Brian loved it.

Sunday we went to church and that night we went to a stake musical program that Sheila was in charge of.  She did a wonderful job with everything.  Afterward we headed to Justin’s parents house for cake and ice cream for his birthday.

Monday Brian did up John’s truck and we ran some errands and then that night we had FHE with the Doxey’s.  We had a yummy dinner and played games.  It was good to be back in the company of good friends.

Tuesday night we all went to the temple.  We just did Initiatory but it was nice to take advantage of having a temple so close to us again.

Wednesday we headed up to Rexburg to be with my side of the family and had dinner at Big Jud’s!  It was blissful!  Why can’t there be burger joints like that out here?!?!?!?

Thursday morning we all went and did Baptisms for the Dead at the temple.  Logan had called us a few weeks ago and said make sure to bring our temple stuff because he wanted us to be with him when he went to the temple for the first time.  That afternoon we went shooting. It was cold!!!  Grandpa Tingey went with us and we shot shotguns and a few other things.  We couldn’t get the clay pigeon thrower to work.  It was quite the ordeal.  Pictures and videos will be below. When we showed my mom she asked why we would make fun of Logan.  You will see what she is talking about when you watch the video.  I had to tell her that it wasn’t just him and I looked the same way but I was on camera duty.

Friday, I don’t remember what we did during the day.  I think we went to Real Steal.  Hugh Jackman is perty dang attractive.  That night we went to Nicole’s for our Tingey Christmas party.  Yes yes, not on Christmas Eve but people didn’t want to travel late at night so we moved it to Friday.  We ate and had a program and played games.  We learned to play Five Crowns.  It is pretty fun.

Saturday, Christmas Eve, we went down to IF for our annual Tanner’s Birthday Breakfast.  We met at Perkins and had a good breakfast.  My poor husband.  He doesn’t get good breakfasts very often due to the fact that I hate breakfast so I have never learned to make all the ‘good breakfast foods’ as he calls them.  Afterward, Brian and I had to run to Sportsman’s Warehouse to pick up my dad’s Christmas present.  Brian was so excited!!!!  We headed back to Rexburg and my mom and I ran some errands and Dad and Brian went riding out on the dunes.  The sand was nice and hard so they could go lots of places.  I think they had a blast!  So they say..  We headed back to IF for a wonderful dinner at my Grandma Geddes’s.  We all got talking about Christmas memories.  I remember so many good things about the Christmas season. I need to write them down.  We even got emotionally about some of the really special ones.

Sunday, Christmas Day.  We weren’t going to do presents before church.  Logan felt bad so we told him he could pick two or three to do before church.  When we got up that morning however things went smooth and we had time to get everything all opened before we left for church.  We all were very spoiled.  It was a great day.  My husband did a fabulous job on me this year.  Next year I need to step up my game!
Logan got a few new games and some lego things and lots of clothes.  He is in the stage where he wants to dress a little nicer now and not were t-shirts with Pokemon on them.
I got a beautiful ring and new boots from Brian.  Mom and dad got me a sewing machine that I am so excited to use.  I am going to start a project within the next day or two.
Mom got new cross country skis and perfume and scarves and slippers.
Dad got a bike thingy-magig.  So he can ride his own bike in the winter…. He also got… a clay pigeon thrower!  There is special stuff about this one.  Brian was so excited to give it to him.  I think he considers it a gift for himself as well ha.

Tanner was ordained to the office of a Deacon and we went to that and then had Christmas lunch at Rich and Tammy’s.  We came before dinner time and just ate good food and played games and relaxed that night.

Monday we went and had our annual Tingey vs. Geddes basketball game. The Tingey/Allen team is on a win streak!  Afterwards, my mom and I met Julie in IF and took the little boys ice-skating.  No… I won’t ice skate. EVER.

The big boys went to try out their new guns and thrower.  Brian came home and looked like he was 5 in a candy store.  We went to Gringos for some Mexican food and went to a movie.

Tuesday I went to Zumba and it was AMAZING!!!  I miss it so much!  We ran to the fabric store and Walmart to get some more shotgun shells and headed out with the boys to go shooting… again.  It was pretty fun.  I found my new favorite gun.  It makes shooting shotguns bearable!  And Brian found his dream gun as well… and it is definitely not in our price budget right now.  HAHAHA Brian is actually upstairs talking on the phone at this very moment telling his friend about this awesome gun he wants… what are the odds.

Wednesday I did Zumba again and got cleaned up around the house and headed back to Filer.  That night we met up with a couple of Brian’s friends and their wives to go to dinner.

Thursday we did more lounging with his family and headed back to Boise to have dinner with his sister and husband.  We watched football and some TV and had a great time.

Friday we had to come home. Such a sad day.  I will say however, that it was nice to not have to live out of a suite case anymore.  There is just something about being in your own house, with your own things, in your own bed, that makes you feel good inside.

Our New Years was very low key.  Our friends were still out of town and he had been playing so hard it was time for us to just sit and relax.  I don’t even know if we made it to midnight.  It was hard getting up for church the next morning!

Brian's favorite place to eat it Twin: Pressbox!

It was really cold. Logan wrapped up in our blankets and watched from the inside of a warm vehicle.

I got Buster as an early Christmas present that I got before my boys last game.  I love all my BSU boys! But mostly Kellen and Dougy.
 GO BSU!
Brian's outfit to go riding... well half of it.

 Brian's dream gun

My mom has all the pictures of me!  Hurry and post them mom! :)

We're BAAAA-CK!

We had such a wonderful Christmas.  We didn't want it to end.  My goal this week is to upload our pictures and when I do, I will go in to all the details.
